Re-branding
The Client
A small, but very specialised cider and perry producer, with several awards for quality of products.
The Brief
As the brand was the producer's name as opposed to the individual product name, we first had to establish a new logo image. We produced an image which, while sympathetic to the company's reputation and traditional style, was strong enough, distinctive and identifiable. Sans serif text was certainly not in sympathy with the "overtones" needed to identify the brand. Thus we recommended the logo as.....
The label designs both required a forcefulness to compete with other brands on the shelf, and needed to express two themes: a classical expression of heraldic “fanfare” (the scrolled title); and the subtle notion of an award given to a “champion”. The rich golden colour theme which was developed was applied to all the product front and back labels, throughout the Olivers' range.
